LEBANON JUNCTION -- It was a rare occurrence on Friday evening.
Tornado warnings were issued for two areas of Bullitt County as storms swept through the region around 10:30 p.m.
Justin Warner, director of the Bullitt County Emergency Management, said that the National Weather Service confirmed that an EF-1 tornado did in fact touch down near Lebanon Junction.
He said around midnight there were reports of a possible touch down.
At that point, he said EMA officials responded to assist the Lebanon Junction Fire Department and to make assessments.
