MADISON, Wis. (Purdue Sports) Despite a late push by the Boilermakers which saw five hits in the final two innings, the Purdue softball team (15-26) fell 5-0 to Wisconsin (18-19) at Goodman Softball Complex. The winning run was recorded in the third inning by the Badgers.
Purdue registered 8 hits in the outing. Five came within the final two innings, and despite loading the bases in the sixth, the Wisconsin defense held firm. Kasey Wilhoit produced the team s lone double while Becca Jones and Sydney Bates led the day with two hits apiece.

EAST LANSING, Mich. (Purdue Sports) Rallying from five-runs down, the Purdue softball team pulled within one game of winning its weekend series with a 9-6 decision. The Boilermakers drove in eight runs over the final three innings and notched a season-high seven extra-base hits.
Alex Echazarreta belted her second home run of the campaign as a part of a 2-for-4, three-RBI day. Rachel Becker drove in a pair of runs and went 3-for-4 at the plate. Ryleigh Scott, Kaitlyn Brannstrom and Kiley Goff also picked up a pair of hits, as Purdue matched its season high with 15 hits.

Kaitlyn Brannstrom and Rachel Becker drove in four combined runs through the long ball to end the weekend series with a win.
Despite a five-run explosion in the third inning, the Purdue softball team could not even its weekend series against foe Indiana, falling 7-5 in the finale at Bittinger Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
