EAST LANSING, Mich. (Purdue Sports) — Rallying from five-runs down, the Purdue softball team pulled within one game of winning its weekend series with a 9-6 decision. The Boilermakers drove in eight runs over the final three innings and notched a season-high seven extra-base hits.
Alex Echazarreta belted her second home run of the campaign as a part of a 2-for-4, three-RBI day. Rachel Becker drove in a pair of runs and went 3-for-4 at the plate. Ryleigh Scott, Kaitlyn Brannstrom and Kiley Goff also picked up a pair of hits, as Purdue matched its season high with 15 hits.
