A home on stan stellar avenue in east san jose. Jana katsuyama had been talking to people in the area. She joins us live from the neighborhood. Reporter you can see behind me that they still have stellar avenue blocked off for seven hours. After this altercation began. Police are saying very little about what started this and what prompted this off the cers shooting. They say the woman was armed with a shotgun. We saw the kids and we walked in the house and we heard a pop. Reporter residents say they heard the gunshot at 330 in the afternoon. The off the desk officer involved shooting called police to the neighborhood. They blocked off nearby streets and tactical teens surrounded the house. This is where the woman retreated. An hour later, you can see a woman emerge. Her hands were bloody held up above her head. Police turn her around while other officers checked past her to see if anyone else was inside. We will have much more coming up at 10 00 p. M. So there had been some speculation that there may have been another person inside of that house, but as far as you know it was just this one woman .
