The COVID-19 pandemic has taken a toll on summer camps.
There s still a lot of uncertainty and camps that have lasted for generations are now asking for help as parents. Camp is a really special tradition in our country, said Tom Rosenberg, CEO and president of the American Camp Association (ACA). Kids have been going to camp for over 150 years with some of the earliest camp directors actually being teachers.
Motorcyclist hurt after hitting power pole in Pauma Valley

SAN DIEGO (CNS) - A motorcyclist was injured after striking a power pole Sunday on a state road in the community of Pauma Valley.
The accident was first reported shortly before 1 p.m. at 16650 state Route 76, just west of Sams Mountain Road, said Juan Escobar of the California Highway Patrol.
The rider on the eastbound Harley-Davidson veered slightly left and avoided a westbound truck, but lost control and clipped a different vehicle, then struck a power pole and was ejected, Escobar said.

California Highway Patrol investigators arrested a 25-year-old woman Tuesday on suspicion of attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon in connection with a freeway road-rage incident last week in San Marcos.
The suspect stabbed another driver with a box cutter, CHP spokesman Officer Juan Escobar said.
It happened about 6 p.m. Friday, staring on east state Route 78 before the drivers of both vehicles a Nissan Pathfinder and a Honda Civic exited the freeway at Nordahl Road, Escobar said in a news release.
Once off the freeway, at least two people from the Nissan SUV and the Honda sedan’s driver began fighting, Escobar said. During the altercation, the SUV’s driver, the 25-year-old woman, allegedly stabbed the Civic’s driver with a box cutter.
