Police on Tuesday arrested a man who was wanted on a murder charge in the beating and stabbing death of a hunter last month at a South Jersey scout reservation, authorities said.
Shawn Massey was taken into custody without incident around 4 p.m. in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, after a police officer there recognized him as the wanted suspect, the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office announced late Tuesday.
The arrest came a day after authorities issued a public plea for tips to find Massey, who was accused of killing Joseph Bottino. Police found Bottino dead Dec. 23 at the Pine Hill Scout Reservation on the 100 block of Watsontown-New Freedom Road in Pine Hill.
