Manhunt underway for alleged killer of hunter found slain at N.J. scout reservation

Shawn Massey, 38, of Gibbsboro, was charged with murder in the slaying of Joseph Bottino and was at-large, Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Pine Hill Police Chief Christopher Winters said in a statement.
Authorities on Saturday charged Massey in the Dec. 23 homicide. Family members reported him missing after he reportedly left his parents’ home on the day of crime, according to police. He was previously described as suffering from “diagnosed mental health issues” and known to become aggressive if approached.
Camden County Cops Searching for Missing and Endangered Man
Cops in Camden County are searching for a missing man but they re urging the public not to approach him if he s spotted.
That s because family members say 38-year-old Shawn Massey of Gibbsboro has mental health issues and he has been known to become aggressive if he s approached by people.
Acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Pine Hill Police Chief Christopher Winters say Massey was reported missing to Pine Hill Police by family members who said he was last seen leaving his parents’ home on December 23rd. He has not been heard from since.

Police in South Jersey are investigating a man who was found dead at a Boy Scouts of America campsite.
Joseph Bottino, 54, of Gloucester Township, was found dead around 6:30 p.m Wednesday.
Family members told investigators that Bottino went hunting at the reservation, which has done many times before.
