Dozens of students marched through the streets of San Francisco today demanding answer against the Police Officers who shot and killed mario woods. Earlier they rallied on the steps of city hall carrying signs with messages like, hands up, dont shoot. Woods was carrying a knife when officers shot him at least 15 times last week in the bayview. The police chief says the killing was justified. And the officers acted in self defense. But kpix 5s cate caugiran shows us, protestors and a prominent local attorney disagree. Cate. The students that were chanting, they were calling for justice for mario woods and others who have been killed by police shootings. We dont feel safe. In the bay area. Tenants at an oakland Apartment Building woke to the sound of a massive eucalyptus tree crashing on their roof. The man who lives at the apartment says the awning on the roof prevented the tree from falling through a window near his twoweekold daughter who was sleeping and this isnt the first time a tree fell there. Police say a woman was kidnapped in vallejo and is possibly being held for ransom right now. 30yearold Denise Huskins was taken early yesterday on kirkland avenue on mare island. Her car was found at another location. Fbi has now been called in for help. But people are not saying why they think there could be a ransom.
