As you get ready to head out we are seeing showers over the south bay, east bay, as well as the north bay up around napa. So were still looking at the possibility of this rain adding up on all of those heavy rainfall totals that we had and seeing a wintry mix as we look at upper elevations. As we head over toward the south county those rainfall totals have been pretty impressive. Well take a look back at those in a few minutes but snow on Mount Hamilton right now as well as some spotty, light rain in parts of the east bay. So im watching all of this

A 3. 3 magnitude quake hit about 5 00 a. M. It was about 13 miles north of healdsburg. No reports of injuries or damage so far. But what a way to wake up at least for those folks. And yesterday we were waking up to pounding rain across the bay area. Kari has a look at our forecast right now. That rain is getting lighter. This storm system is moving out but it was impressive. Now as we take a look at storm ranger, we are catching a break for much of the bay area. Still some lingering showers down around gilroy as well as around the napa area over toward Solano County. Was placed on paid leave. He was with the department for about five years. This really hits home, a family here at the department. Obviously, our officer is very shaken up for everything. Reporter sergeant rivera, the president of the police union. He said, the department could potentially face discipline if he is not at fault. If the officer was not within department the policy, there can be rick percussions, absolutely. Reporter to avoid comfort of interest, outside agencies took over the investigation. The collision itself is being taken over solely by the chp and the das office. Obviously, we will have our own internal investigation. Reporter the chps multidisciplinary action investigation team, specializing in pratt trash protocols spent hours electing evidence and diagramming the scene. Santa clara county also dialing back reopening by banning Indoor Dining starting on tuesday. Marin county announced it, too, would be banning Indoor Dining.
