Just after 4 p.m., the call to the Bitumen Road fire went out. As area crews traveled along Route 120, they quickly encountered many rocks and even a couple of trees down between Drury’s Run and Westport, causing hazardous roadway conditions. This Citizens of South Renovo truck ended up off the road and traveled a long distance before striking a telephone pole. Several of the volunteer firemen needed to be taken to the Bucktail Medical Center to be evaluated.
