Suicidal man. That man opened fire, critically injuring a deputy. The District Attorney has cleared the officer who fired the fatal shot. Jamie leary joins us live from the Parker Police department. We really see how chaotic that shooting scene was in this video. Reporter very chaotic. You can see officers running towards the shooting suspect. The video youre about to see is from the perspective of Parker Police officer ronnie durell. He fired killed suspect randy roddick, bringing his shooting spree to a halt. Where is he at . Front seat. I got him, hes down. Reporter that brief muffleed pop was the fatal shot. Its force the District Attorneys office determined was justified. Rolled over and started this crash. This started with what were told was a shooting in the lodo area. At least one of those victims got into this chevy suv and were heading to the hospital south on kalamath when they ran a red height and crashed into another car that did have a green light, a nissan suv that was heading west on 11th. The suv with those victims from the shooting rolled over. There were five people inside, all of of them needing to go the hospital. Firefighters were on scene, because they had to extricate one of the people inside that car and remove the door from that chevy suv. There was one person in the other car, that person also taken to the hospital. So in all, six people being treated for injuries from this crash. Now, were still waiting to get a little bit more from police. Well remain on scene, get those details and share them with you throughout the morning. Injuries. The other person unknown injuries. But definitely serious for that person. Both of the occupants in this vehicle lived. There were a couple of cars that stopped by earlier this morning. We werent sure initially if they were involved in the accident. We were told those were bystanders who stopped to see what they can do. A lot of response because the car did catch fire. I did ask about alcohol or drugs, if that was involved. Its unknown at the time, at this time if alcohol or drugs were involved, but speed definitely a factor into this crash. I did ask as well if they knew anything more about the injuries or why this happened. So far theyre investigating and officials are working on clearing the scene.
