KOTA: A civil court in Bundi awarded 3-month civil imprisonment to former Bundi district collector, chairman of TATA Projects, Sikandarabad in Telangana, managing director of the company and 7 others including other officials of the company and Bundi municipal council, for committing negligence in civil work carried out in Bundi city and contempt of court’s order. The court also ordered to seize the property of each of the ten officials.

JAIPUR: Former minister and senior BJP MLA Vasudev Devnani was suspended from the House for a day for unruly behaviour on Monday. The decision of the House by voice vote led the entire opposition to walk out of the assembly to protest the suspension of four-time MLA from Ajmer.
Devnani was unhappy over not being allowed to raise the issue of attack on protesting ABVP students on Saturday night. He stormed into the well of the House as soon as the speaker announced the decision on adjournment motions during Zero Hour.
When Devnani refused to obey Speaker’s repeated orders to go back to his seat, Speaker CP Joshi directed parliamentary affairs minister Shanti Dhariwal to move a resolution suspending the member and calling the marshals to remove him from the well.

JAIPUR: During the Rajasthan Budget Session 2021-22, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday announced that a separate agriculture budget will be presented from next year.
Announcing the Budget in the Rajasthan Assembly, Gehlot said: Gandhiji had said that If India wants to peacefully progress, people with money should understand that the soul of India lies inside farmers . Our government has also remained friendly with farmers and has been introducing measures regarding relief from agricultural debt. On the three controversial central agriculture laws, keeping the interests of the farmers in mind, we have passed three bills in the last Assembly session and forwarded it to the Governor for approval of the President, he said.
In Jaipur, petrol and diesel prices climbed to record highs of Rs 96.01 and Rs 88.34 per litre, respectively.
JAIPUR: Fuel prices in Rajasthan shot up on Wednesday to record high and crossed Rs 100 per litre, with the price of petrol in Sriganganagar clocking Rs 100.13 per litre. Diesel price also rose to Rs 92.13.
In Jaipur, petrol and diesel prices climbed to record highs of Rs 96.01 and Rs 88.34 per litre, respectively.
Rajasthan has the highest VAT rate on fuel among the bigger states in the country with petrol and diesel attracting 36% and 26% VAT respectively. Manipur levies 36.50% VAT on petrol.
Earlier this month, the state government reduced VAT on petrol and diesel by 2% resulting in a decrease of Rs 1.34 and Rs 1.31 for petrol and diesel respectively. But the continuous rise in prices have nullified the meagre relief from VAT reduction.
After 2016, there have been no new tenders for wind power
JAIPUR: The wind power developers who had taken government land and have not been able to execute the projects are set to lose their land. Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Ltd (RRECL) has written a letter to the revenue department to expedite the process for cancellation of the land.
In the letter, RRECL said that more than 3000 bigha has beenallotted to about 20 companies which has not developed projects. “The revenueland allotted to the projects in these cases was either not utilized bydevelopers within the permissible period of excess land surrendered bydevelopers had been recommended by RREC for cancellation as per Rajasthan LandRevenue (Allotment of Land for setting up of Power plant based on RenewableEnergy Sources), 2007,” said the letter.
