On the Golden Gate Bridge. Were talking about the Golden Gate Bridge, lets talk about this. The highway and transportation district is starting a study this week on the sound the wind makes when its passing through the new railings. You heard about this probably. If you havent, when the high winds hit the bridge at a certain angle it creates a humming sound that some describe as singing and others call it screeching. City leaders say they have gotten dozen of emails about the noise. District officials are discussing plans to learn the cause of the noise and develop changes to muffle it.
