That is partly due to hospitals treating infected people that were transferred from san quentin prison and imperial county. For now, San Francisco has a good supply of hospital and icu beds. How fast hospitalizations increase is very important. It gives us an idea of how many people have been infected, and how many people are now coming to our attention, in terms of the healthcare system. California School Superintendent tony thurman posted a hearing regarding School Police reforms yesterday, after concerns by students of color in particular over police misconduct. Several state lawmakers believe it is time for change and they want to remove armed officers from campus. Officers have said that they are not there to harass students. The impact based on race, we know that students are well represented in arrests by the School Police officers. There is dehumanization of children of color. We do not go into the schools looking to arrest students or investigate students. We are largely going to and engage with students and bridge gaps. Bomb threats, strangers on campus and natural disasters are reasons to keep police and schools. They will resume debate on a proposed strong mayor initiative that will extend the term of the mayor until 2024. It will also give the mayor more power, taking over some of the duties that the city manager does now. Last night, the city council adjourned at midnight without voting on the measure, if it is approved it will be put on the november ballot. The measure would push back the Mayoral Election two years, to 2024. It will take advantage of a bigger turnout from national elections.
