and police want to know if that case had anything to do with this murder suicide. the 23-year-old, a high school teacher, was gunned down that happened on a rural country at 3:30 in the afternoon on his drive home from school. chris was a phenomenal teacher. he was one of those guys who would enthusiastically motivate kids to do what they normally wouldn t do. he had high expectations for them. he s the kind of guy who would just light up a room. reporter: police say the gunman, 22-year-old robert becomer, w e becker, was his next-door neighbor. he forced him to stop here in white plains. that s when he shot him who was still sitting in hi car. then becker took his own life in the street as motorists watched. there were a lot of people on this roadway at the time and some people who witnessed what happ happened. reporter: according to court information online, becker was charged with marijuana possession in 2008 and 2010 and spent four months in jail last year for bur
