Im kenny choi in San Francisco has temperatures above average today around the bay and along the coast, as well. We have Team Coverage on the dangerous heat including how schools help students stay safe. Mary lee has a look at the high temperatures. We are watching those temperatures rise this afternoon and here is a live look with our dublin cam and in dublin, mid90s and we continue to see those temps increase through the rest of the day. That heat advisory is in effect dangerous heat. Xtreme and for all the inland locations and all areas away from the immediate coast under that heat advisory until 8 00 p. M. And for the third day in a row we have a spare the air alert with sensitive groups in the east bay and the santa clara valley, moderate air quality. I have the numbers coming up in lets chhighways. After a couple of days of hot weather. I will take not as hot. That will do it for me. Trafficwise, things are looking okay in your commute. Well start in the north bay. Theres a little bit of slowing on westbound 37 as you head from va to novato. And no specific problems there. The drive from the carquinez bridge to the macarthur maze will take about 21 minutes, were still in the green zone. Not too bad overnight a drive. In the south bay, the io cob has not popped up just yet. A single vehicle spin outcrash and the car is on top of one of the guardrails and it could take a little while to tow that and clear that out of the way. Heres the bay bridge toll plaza on this friday morning sunrise. You see some flashing lights there. Im not sure what that is about. Well continue to get information on that. Morning than yesterday. Around the bay we have fairfield the continued cooling for the weekend coming up in a little bit. We are going to start here because this is probably the worst commute bay area lied this morning. Highway 4 and there was a crash that has been cleared there is a report of a crash eastbound 580 in the noncommute direction. In the eastbound direction grant line road one lane is blocked because of a crash that happened there. 580 in the Richmond Bridge toll plaza if youre making your way over traffic is a little bit slow and lighter overall than it was this time yesterday and taking a look traffic here is okay. The toll plaza you can see it through the sun streaming in you are looking at a 20 minute delay. This weekend will be really interesting. A lot of your work will be taking place in the east bay the first of six weekends that they will be doing major repair work on the tracks. Our reporter is at the lafayette bart station right now.
