Reporter the mayor said this attack could have been prevented, citing multiple system failures, including people left unhoused and the need for more balanced police reform. Changes in our criminal Justice System have not made our community safer. This pendulum has swung too far. Reporter police say there is no evidence the stabbing was motivated by any sort of bias, racial or otherwise.
