In front of them are a number of humvees or Police Vehicles. I just saw a mom walk by with two little kids. One looks to be about four, the drawn crowds and theyre out taking photographs at 3 00 in the morning. Kathy it is the life they live. Sherman and burliegh this after a break in the violence you may remember the coalition of justice was here around 9am cleaning up the neighborhood and holding prayer circles. Later in the evening 150 Milwaukee Police officers and 100 Milwaukee County sheriffs deputies were in this are last night as a large crowd gathered here. The crowd swelled as officers lined the street with riot gear on. Just before 11 pm shots were fired and an 18year old was hit. It became a traffic nightmare as police used an armored vehical to rescue the shooting victim. A Police Officer was also taken to the hospital after a rock was th windshield. Around 2 30 officers used megaphones to tell the crowd they needed to leave or since the protests broke out. Our Derica Williams has more details from the Police Administration building downtown.
