The La Crosse School District has launched a community engagement campaign to pass a $53 million building referendum this fall, which calls for building a new $42 million elementary school and an $11 million addition at State Road Elementary School. New school board members question $53M La Crosse referendum

Two new La Crosse School Board members, Jim Bagniewski and Adam Manka, have expressed reservations about a $53 million building referendum this fall. Bagniewski criticized the referendum for not addressing the district s two middle schools, both of which are more than 80 years old, and suggested a plan that converts Central and Logan high schools into combined 6-12 high school/middle school sites.
