Two new La Crosse School Board members, Jim Bagniewski and Adam Manka, have expressed reservations about a $53 million building referendum this fall. Bagniewski criticized the referendum for not addressing the district's two middle schools, both of which are more than 80 years old, and suggested a plan that converts Central and Logan high schools into combined 6-12 high school/middle school sites.
