We are the only pedestrian Advocacy Organization in San Francisco making our streets safe for everyone. The organization that really helped pass vision zero in 2014. It is the goal of eliminating all severe and fatal car crashes in San Francisco by 20224. And the sfpd is part of the vision zero commitment with the goal of 50 percent traffic citations on the top five focus on the five. Unfortunately the numbers this year of people dying from traffic violations has been many. Weve already seen 14 and this includes one mildchild and one person on a bike. So we are equal to 2018 numbers and we still have several months left. As we heard tonight from commander perea the sfpd has a lot of work to do to meet its part of the goal. Can i put this year . Sorry. As you can see from my graph, the focus on the five has been plummeting the last few years. We know the numbers of trips has gone up. 170
It could be indicators following officers. Can you explain to us how that would track . That confuses me. Thats the problem with page 12 and 13, they are defective because it looks it would look like its based on the actual station when these numbers arent based on the station, they are based on officers. Thats correct. Thats a problem. If you have any chart based on where the officer was at the time of the violation . I dont have one for this reporting period. I think that should be added to the next quarter presentation thats done on e. I. S. Because thats important because these numbers although they are beautifully put into a chart they arent actually reflective or accurate of whats happening at each unit. I do want the numbers on the page 3 of the numbers that come into you and which ones you are passing through to the supervisor and which ones you are closing out. Okay. Director henderson . Into the first hepatitis b free city in the nation. For 12 years sf hepb free bay area has continued to be in the forefront in the battle against hepb and liver cancer. They continue to provide free and lowcost hepatitis b testing, raise Public Awareness on the issue of hepatitis b and promote routine testing and vaccination for Pacific Islander adults and its expanding to San Mateo County to serve hundreds of mongolian residents and filipino americans. Populations both at high risk of infection. Next friday, october 18, sf hepb bay area will be hosting their 12th annual be a hero awards gala. We will be voting on the resolution today to recommit our citys effort to support this critical work to save lives especially to in hard to reach areas and im imploring all to spread the word and encourage your friends and loved ones to be test. Cannabis oversight committee. Thank you, president yee. I create the the legislation of a Cannabis Oversight Committee to advise the board on regulations, growth of the industry and to help the board meet its goals of equity within the industry. I believe the creation of a public advisory body made up with these Key Stakeholders to oversee the office of cannabis and the implementation of laws governing commercial cannabis activities is the best way to provide transparency and accountability for this brand new growing industries. This Advisory Board will provide valuable in sight and recommendations to the board of supervisors as we implement the voter mandate the recreational cannabis.
