Mitsubishi sedan. The driver of that car, a 36yearold man was heading south on cottel when he ran a red light around 3 30 this morning. He ended up colliding with a blue mustang, sending it into a third car. The driver who ran the red light was hurt, but not bad enough that he couldnt make a run for it, which he did. He ran down cottel, turned the corner on to santa teresa. Were talking about a good two to threeblock head start here. But police tell us they were so fast in responding, two of their officers was able to catch up to the driver, who was still running down a sidewalk, and take him into custody. The driver of the third car, not hurt. While we were there, officers started searching the black mitsubishi, taking a lot of items out of the truck. The sergeant on the scene said they did find, quote, evidence of criminal activity. Headquarters here just confirmed to us that they did discover drugs, unknown what kind of narcotics.
