They are comparing the covid crisis to a train about to derail. Among the new restrictions is a quarantine. Will it be enforced . We begin coverage with bay areas Marianne Favro at san joses bay area international. Reporter San Jose International must post the information and also give each arriving passenger a copy of the order. Letting them know that they are required to quarantine for 14 days. This is the last group of travelers arriving at sjc who will not be asked to quarantine. But at midnight that all changes. Thats when a new travel order goes into effect in Santa Clara County requiring people who travel more than 150 miles from the county to quarantine for 14 days. Travelers have mixed feelings about the restriction. For most people that doesnt really that wont really fly with their sort of lifestyle, right. Irk work

We are seeing quite a bit of rain across the bay area into parts of the east bay and we are seeing this rain, pockets of heavy downpours around walnut creek and concord and some rain near berkeley. We are going to see some of the heavier pockets of rain right around san leandro and on 580 so that may slow you down for the commute. Heading over to san mateo and parts of the peninsula dealing with heavy rain where we see the dark greens and yellow. Still raining in los gatos and over the Santa Cruz Mountains that will be moving into the city within the next few minutes. We do still have a lot of rain to tracking a the lingering rain continues. San francisco, santa clara, contra costa counties will be the first to enact the order at 10 00 tomorrow night. Tonight, businesses and customers are preparing for another round of closures.
