Both Nashville Craft Distillery and O.H. Ingram River Aged Whiskey have released new products, and Fugitive Spirits recently racked up some awards at a national spirits competition. Bruce Boeko of Nashville Craft released his first bourbon whiskey a few years back, and it was a very novel product. The mash bill of 60 percent corn/30 percent wheat/10 percent malted barley was much less corn-forward than most bourbons, and the softer character of the wheat made for a unique flavor and mouthfeel. For his second bourbon, Boeko has gone to a more traditional grain recipe with 80 percent corn, 10 percent rye and 10 percent barley for a more familiar character to the majority of bourbon drinkers.
