A Cannabis Bar and Whiskey Dinner Spell Promising Booze News

Whiskey Wednesday: Booze News You Can Use

Tweet Share Nashville Craft Traditional Bourbon Whisk(e)yThe news is filled with the holiday spirits, and three local distilleries have some important announcements to share. Both Nashville Craft Distillery and O.H. Ingram River Aged Whiskey have released new products, and Fugitive Spirits recently racked up some awards at a national spirits competition. Bruce Boeko of Nashville Craft released his first bourbon whiskey a few years back, and it was a very novel product. The mash bill of 60 percent corn/30 percent wheat/10 percent malted barley was much less corn-forward than most bourbons, and the softer character of the wheat made for a unique flavor and mouthfeel. For his second bourbon, Boeko has gone to a more traditional grain recipe with 80 percent corn, 10 percent rye and 10 percent barley for a more familiar character to the majority of bourbon drinkers.
