Set a flag on fire, and patrons and an employee at a restaurant right across the street from the Police Department were harassed. One person pepper sprayed by a demonstrator and no arrests were made. We were eating our food, they started flashing lights in our eyes, screaming at us, there were no police, nothing. And were literally at the police station. We had nonuniformed officers watching from a distance. And had we seen assaultive behavior or Public Safety issues we would have jumped in right away. We were not aware of the assaultive behavior until after the fact. There was no order for officers to stand down. Supervisors made a decision not to intervene based on the circumstances of the crimes being committed. Graffiti and vandalism. He agrees with the call but says they are making changes moving forward. They are comparing the covid crisis to a train about to derail. Among the new restrictions is a quarantine. Will it be enforced . We begin coverage with bay areas Marianne Favro at san joses bay area international. Reporter San Jose International must post the information and also give each arriving passenger a copy of the order. Letting them know that they are required to quarantine for 14 days. This is the last group of travelers arriving at sjc who will not be asked to quarantine. But at midnight that all changes. Thats when a new travel order goes into effect in Santa Clara County requiring people who travel more than 150 miles from the county to quarantine for 14 days. Tomorrow is the last day you can register in california for the november election. If the early numbers are any indicator, voters are eager to have their say. The secretary of States Officer sent out this tweet on friday saying more than 2. 7 million ballots have already been returned. That is well ahead of 2016. Early voting continued today outside San Francisco city hall and so far, the numbers are pretty good. We have about a 23 turnout in San Francisco, which is really good for this point in time.
