With the Shelby GT350 incarnation of the S550 Mustang being replaced by the Mach 1 for the 2021 model year, we mustn t allow the now-retired track special to exit the spotlights. As such, we ve brought along a race involving the Ford and a Chevrolet Camaro SS. 4 photos
Sure, the GT350 was built for the circuit, with the independent rear suspension of the sixth-gen Mustang allowing the engineers to take the label to a new level; many owners still prefer a quick, straight-line battle, though. Case in point with the velocity confrontation we have here, which saw the muscle cars going for a rolling start adventure.
TFL Tests 2021 Ford F-150 XL With Coyote V8 Engine, Hits 60 MPH in 6.9 Seconds 19 Jan 2021, 17:06 UTC ·

For the 2021 model year, the most affordable F-150 available is – of course – the XL trim level. It’s very good value at $28,940 before options and freight, and this pickup doesn’t necessarily feel cheap if you know your way around the configurator. Take, for instance, the truck in the following video. 31 photos
TFL managing editor Andre Smirnov is very much surprised by the XL in this particular specification, which is the extended cab with Lead Foot paint, body-colored bumpers, four-wheel drive, the 101A High equipment group, Coyote V8 engine, and the STX Appearance Package. Including the destination charge, this configuration of the all-new F-150 will set you back $43,460.

After the highly successful arrival of the second-generation GT supercar back in 2016, Ford immediately started tapping into the historical well of racing successes by introducting the vintage-inspired Heritage Editions. As you can imagine, the potential for turning these into highly popular collectors’ items is clearly there; it just needs a little nudge past the one million greenbacks milestone. 41 photos
As it turns out, the most recent example of the situation comes in the form of this 2018 Ford GT 67 Heritage Edition. It went under the hammer during Mecum Auctions’ recent Kissimmee event for no less than $990,000. Not too shabby, but also not there just yet.

If you’ve been following us this January, you might be aware that as part of our Ford Month coverage, we dug up an idea born in Massachusetts on the grounds of a shop called Factory Five. These guys thought it would be best to provide builders with hot rod kits as a means to ease everyone’s journey to a show-quality build.
These past few days, we’ve been covering their kits, designed to morph into classic-style hot rods, but there’s an even more impressive one out there. One that, once completed, should reveal a killer-looking pickup truck.

Maybe it’s the pleasure of seeing in how bad of a condition cars can get over time, or maybe it’s the need to find the perfect base for a future custom project, but the fact remains people like resting their eyes upon cars so decrepit they would have been taken to the shredder elsewhere. 15 photos
Yet in America, rust buckets are not shredded but resold. Some of them come back to life as a result of this changing of hands, but most get lost along the way. We hope the 1956 Ford we have here is part of the former category.
