Law enforcement. These protests come at a time when our communities have been struggling even more because of the coronavirus. For too long, black people have been subjected to abuse at the hands of those in power. Now is the time that we can make sure that the demonstrations that we see are translated into real action. As has sadly been demonstrated by the death of george floyd, black communities are also disproportionately represented in our criminal justice system, so reforms go hand and hand both around Police Reforms and criminal justice reforms, as well. Weve seen in San Francisco a lot of real change but also knowing that we have a lot more to do.
