Today in the omi in district 7 [cheers and applause] they say it takes Broad Strokes to make something truly incredible, people to enjoy and thats the message we have here today. Theres no better person to articulate the vision for advancing Economic Opportunity and equity in our city than our next speaker that is joining all of us and leading these efforts with us today and that is our mayor, london reed. Hello, lakeview hello i am so excited to be here let me tell you, this centre is long overdue in the Omi Community. [cheers and applause] i want to start by thanking supervisor safaye, who is really, i think the best supervisor district 11 has ever had. Let me tell you, because of his work and advocacy, we are bringing more resources than ever to this community. We saved 21 units just on Mission Street where low income families were facing eviction. He took the leadership, we purchased that property and protected those units for generations to come. [cheers and applause] we know that

The e. V. Readiness would cover some of those properties that you mentioned that are in the planning or entitlement or yet to be built phase. So when theyre built, they will be e. V. Ready. That will take care of all New Buildings going forward. The existing multifamily unit dwellings, thats still a challenge. We started with the e. V. Readiness ordinance. Were now working on this initiative for private sector garages. Weve done the same for our municipal garages. So that is a bit of the next frontier. Its something weve been looking at, but its challenging from a infrastructure and cost perspective, but its still something were working on. Because the need for charging as we transition the entire fleet is going to continue to grow. Were on step 2 or 3 here and there is a few more after that. Supervisor peskin i look forward to having those conversations with you and your office going forward. Any questions, supervisor safai . Supervisor safai yes, thank you. First of all, i would like

Climate emergency, and trying to figure out how to sequester carbon. Finally, the ficus order fails to make up for the loss of canopy at Washington Squares in terms of tree species, size and proposed planting schedule. I would like to ask Telegraph Hill dwellers and all largescale removals going forward, because they didnt this time around. Yet, we are the largest, oldest, best known Neighborhood Organization in north beach. If the city wants to build a relationship of trust, and transparency, especially after what happened at the playground on the loss of our little fore forest, it makes sense to work with the neighborhood. Now, we have heard all of us are the replacements of choice for the ficus along the 600 block of columbus. We were not consulted as to the species, even though all of dusn that magnolias, i hardy evergreen street tree, which sequester ten times more carbon, and they soak up four times more stormwater. We would like to be consulted on these kinds of decisions. Thank

First of all , david wilkin sos has been our consultant from Northern California Community Loan fund. Thank you, david. Thank you for helping me understand this weave of stuff and so forth. Leading the way to make sure that we anchor the new market tax credit that we needed for the project is the city of San Francisco and the San Francisco Community Investment fund, or as we call it sfif. Without them jumping in and p putting their projestamp on thi project, i dont know if othes s would have joined as easily. We just wareally want to thank e sfif for supporting us. Along side of the sfif, San Francisco sfif was california loan fund who in vvested with u early as well. The group that put us over the top is an Organization Called Community Impact partners which is more of a National Partner and they came in to push us forward as well. The irony is that two of these organizations are d

Here we are responsible to oversee the Drinking Water distribution system. In San Francisco changes in the fire code required anyone doing representtro fit to the home to get a new fire service this caused the need for new Water Services to spike. We used to do 200 a year. Now we are up to 600. If you are building a new house you need fire protection. You have to make application to the Water Department for that. If you go through the process we come out and install the new line and the new fire line. The project got kicked off by two of our a gms, steve and eric. They recognized the need for improving this process. They pulled together the project and selected the team members and asked me to lead the effort. On c cd there is permit and no parking signs and installing the service, having water caught at the check off and pave. It is a lengthy application process with manual tracking. For construction because we communicate with ccd we have to stay in touch with ccd to inform the custo
