Good morning. 11 news today continues with continuing coverage of sandy as it comes up the coast. Im live at ocean city where conditions are at their worst. Yesterday we just had wind and now we have rain driving in our faces and waves starting to push toward the shore. There is a chance some areas will continue it see flooding. We are seeing the water spill through the walkway here at 32nd street and starting to pool toward the homes. We continue it watch this flooding and that will be an issue as we continue to head toward high tide. We will continue to track this. The winds are picking up as they continue to gust to near 60 miles an hour right now and could get stronger as the storm continues to approach us. Employees were signing their furlough letters. All three are trying to be positive about the situation and hope it will be resolved quickly. My wife and i, we are going to take this day by day. You will be prepared for anything as it comes, just like we have been in the previous years. According to the lieutenant colonel, National Guard troops who are deployed and on active duty will continue to be paid. Those who will be attending drills or are on reserve status will not. Those getting ready for deployment and training for deployment will continue to train and will get paid. But the ones that are normal drilling status, like the majority of us, will not be drilling this weekend, and we will have to postpone it until the future. And they wont get paid.
