TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – The Florida State Volleyball team lost just its second home match of the season on Friday in what was a thrilling five-setter vs. Miami, falling to the Hurricanes, 3-2 (25-19, 19-25, 25-20, 22-25, 12-15), in front of a packed crowd at Tully Gym.
The Seminoles (19-7, 11-5) held the edge most of the fifth set, leading 12-8 before Miami (22-4, 13-3) rattled off the final seven points to win the match.
Friday’s rivalry matchup featured several entertaining long rallies between two of the top digging teams in the ACC. Redshirt junior setter Lily Tessier had the tall task of engineering FSU’s offense against a good Miami defense and did a solid job with 51 assists as well as a team-best 22 digs, her 10th double-double of the season.

(Seminoles.com) – The three-headed freshmen attack of Audrey Koenig, Skye Ekes and Khori Louis was too much for Clemson volleyball on Friday night as Florida State earned a 3-1 road win over the Tigers at Jervey Gym. FSU and its youngest team among Power 5 programs improves to 5-3 in true road matches this season. Koenig recorded a match-high 16 kills and hit .405 for the Seminoles (17-5, 10-3), whom reach the double-digit mark in conference wins this season. Friday’s match-up against Florida State is set for 7 p.m. before finishing the weekend Sunday against Miami with a 1 p.m. scheduled start. Both matches will be streamed on ACCNX. The Tigers and Seminoles have met a total of 60 times previously, most recently in the spring of 2021 when the Seminoles secured a 3-0 victory. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – A tense back-and-forth match was ultimately won by Florida State Volleyball on Sunday as it defeated Syracuse, 3-2 (25-22, 25-23, 21-25, 24-26, 15-11), at Tully Gym in a contest that lasted nearly three hours.
The Seminoles (16-5, 9-3) finish the month of October with an 8-2 record as they head into the critical month of November. Freshman outside hitter Audrey Koenig blasted a career-high 18 kills, including some big points down the stretch, and finished with a .298 hitting percentage.

The Orange (15-9, 4-8) had all the momentum as it forced a decisive fifth set after being down 2-0, riding the play of Marina Markova and her 33 kills. In the final frame, FSU jumped out to a 4-0 lead, but Syracuse came right back with a 6-0 run to force an FSU timeout.
