St Elizabeth Man Pleads Not Guilty To Cousin s Murder

4:26 pm, Thu December 17, 2020 Sean Allen, who last month pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter in relation to the killing of his cousin, on Wednesday changed his plea to not guilty when he appeared before the St. Elizabeth Circuit Court.     His attorney told the court that the change of plea was based on information presented in the social enquiry report. He did not elaborate.       He is accused of using a machete to kill 22-year-old Ike Allen during a dispute over a cellular phone on August 12, 2018.

Laden To Spend Four Years In Prison On Gun, Ammunition Charges

3:47 pm, Wed December 16, 2020 Laden Entertainer Laden, whose real name is Okeefe Aarons, has been sentenced to five and a half years in prison by the St. Elizabeth Circuit Court.   Laden was sentenced to four and half years for illegal possession of firearm and 18 months for illegal possession of ammunition. However, he will serve only four years as the sentences are to run concurrently.   Laden and two others were arrested on October 28, during the curfew, along the Cheapside main road in St. Elizabeth.     His two co-accused, 21-year-old Saaion Ebanks and a 16-year-old boy, were acquitted after the prosecution withdrew the case and offered no evidence.

Man Charged With Murder Two Years Ago, Pleads Guilty

4:38 pm, Fri December 11, 2020 Steve Green, who was charged with the murder of 39-year-old Jermain Lennon in Accompong, St. Elizabeth two years ago, on Thursday pleaded guilty in the St. Elizabeth Circuit Court.   Green, 46, who was in a relationship with Miss Lennon, was also charged with arson and attempting to pervert the course of justice.     It was reported that on March 23, 2018, resident of Accompong saw smoke coming from a house occupied by Miss Lennon and Mr. Green.   During a search of the rubble the partially burnt body of Miss Lennon was found under a mattress.   Mr. Green was found outside the house in an unconscious state and was taken to the Black River Hospital where it was revealed that he had ingested a corrosive substance.
