Entertainer Laden, whose real name is Okeefe Aarons, has been sentenced to five and a half years in prison by the St. Elizabeth Circuit Court.
Laden was sentenced to four and half years for illegal possession of firearm and 18 months for illegal possession of ammunition. However, he will serve only four years as the sentences are to run concurrently.
Laden and two others were arrested on October 28, during the curfew, along the Cheapside main road in St. Elizabeth.
His two co-accused, 21-year-old Saaion Ebanks and a 16-year-old boy, were acquitted after the prosecution withdrew the case and offered no evidence.
