He was doing that walking down this street when he was attacked from behind. Reporter a 75 yearold victim just out of surgery recounts the attack that put him in the hospital. He spoke with me over the phone. The cancer survivor is legally blind. But takes long walks through his neighborhood. On doctors order. His daily routine cut short on his way home from 69th street terminal. A thief punched and kicked him and stole 100. His backpack and cell phone. Still groggy was surgery to repair a fractured femur.
