First team coach Bryan Klug says that striker Dean Bowditch still has a future with the Blues despite another stuttering season. The former England U19 international, who has a year left on his Town contract, returns to action for the reserves this evening after a spell out with a groin injury.
Dean Bowditch made a goalscoring return to action as the reserves all but clinched the Pontin s Holidays Combination League East Division with a 3-1 victory over Leyton Orient at Portman Road.
On-loan striker Dean Bowditch won his ninth cap at U19 level as England beat Denmark 1-0 at Crewe s Gresty Road. Bowditch was in the starting line-up as England began their campaign at the UEFA European U19 Championship second qualifying round tournament.
Town have six players away with international squads this weekend. Darren Bent is in action first on Friday night for the England U21s against Germany in a UEFA European U21 Championship, Group Six qualifier at Hull s KC Stadium (Sky Sports One, 7pm).
