There’s no playoffs this year, (but that) doesn’t mean you don’t have anything to play for. You still have your pride and to give all the people watching (online) a good performance,” Denomie said following a 4-1 win over the Moose Jaw Warriors on Friday at the Brandt Centre. “I’m hoping that it’s going to be fun.”

Broncos end Pats winning streak at two

A couple of power-play goals in the second period wasn’t enough, as the Regina Pats saw their winning streak end at two games, with a 4-2 loss to Swift Current Thursday night. Pats Coach Dave Struch said they were the better team for most of the night. “At 45 minutes tonight we were the better team,” Struch said after the game. “There’s no question, it was 2-2, and I thought we did so many good things, we built off of everything that we did for the last six periods against Prince Albert and Saskatoon,” Struch said.

(Keith Hershmiller Photography) The Regina Pats were able to finally best their rivals, the Saskatoon Blades, for the first time in the WHL hub. Regina posted a 4-2 victory Tuesday at the Brandt Centre. “Against them, it’s big because they had our number,” Pats head coach Dave Struch said after the game. “They pushed back on us and we responded well. “I know they had some guys out of the lineup but they play a really good game they play hard and they play physical. We did some things that we have seen flashes of in this shortened season and we’ve built on last game and did things right.”
