Carter Chorney and Ryker Evans both picked up two points as the Regina Pats doubled up the Saskatoon Blades 4-2 Tuesday night.
Roddy Ross made 20 saves in the win, the Pats first against the rival Blades this season.
Pats Coach Dave Struch said the last two games, which includes a 4-3 win over Prince Albert on Sunday, have been the team’s best efforts of the year from top to bottom.
“Everyone was good, I mean our goalie was good again, we are playing physical, and I think that game against Prince Albert was a real good development game for us, as far as playing with courage,” Struch said. ” I think more than anything we understand what it takes to win, we’re playing hard, like it’s the playoffs, Struch added”

Logan Nijhoff scored for a third straight game, and Roddy Ross made 31 saves, but once again it wasn’t enough, as the Regina Pats fell 4-1 to Saskatoon on Thursday, for their third straight loss.
The Blades sealed what was a closer game than appeared with an empty net goal late in the third period.
Pats Coach Dave Struch said it was also a much better outing for them than on Tuesday.
“The overall effort and execution, play without and with the puck, I think we probably deserved maybe a couple more power-plays, but I liked our effort better this time for sure,” Struch said after the game.

Once the Prince Albert Raiders offence got rolling on Tuesday night, it was hard for the Regina Pats to slow them down.
The Raiders scored four times in nearly five-and-a-half minutes during the second period of play as they would go on to pick up a 4-2 victory over the Pats at the Brandt Centre.
“I thought that was one of our best team games so far here,” Raiders head coach Marc Habscheid said. “We’ve lost a key defenceman with Nolan Allan leaving (for the World Under-18’s) and I thought our young guys did a good job of stepping up on the blueline and moving the puck up the ice.”

Logan Nijhoff scored and Roddy Ross made 30 saves, but it wasn’t enough as the Regina Pats fell 3-1 to the Winnipeg Ice Monday night.
Pats Coach Dave Struch said he felt they played a good game against what’s become one of the top teams in the East Division.
“Overall, they do have a good team, that’s the way it is, that’s where they are in their program, but I thought our compete level was really good and we have lots to build off of for our game Tuesday night against Prince Albert,” he said.

It was an emotional game, but Regina Pats forward Connor Bedard honoured his grandfather with a two-goal performance Friday.
Bedard scored both of Regina’s goals in a 2-1 overtime win over the Brandon Wheat Kings at the Brandt Centre his first game since receiving the news his grandfather Garth had passed away.
On Wednesday, the WHL’s Pats announced Bedard’s grandfather was killed in a crash in B.C. on Tuesday.
