Police are searching for the man who robbed two retail stores in Danville Tuesday afternoon.Â
The first robbery happened at Family Dollar located at 2639 North Main Street at 12:25 p.m. The offender brandished a handgun and demanded money from the cashier. While police were still on that scene, someone robbed the Dollar General at 2398 West Main Street at 1:00 p.m.Â
Based on surveillance video, police believe the same man robbed both stores. The robber is described as a black male with a beard in his late forties or fifties wearing dark colored shorts, a dark shirt with a mask covering his nose and mouth. He was possibly in a white 4-door sedan believed to be a mid-nineties model Buick.Â
The Southeast Iowa Superconference Shoot Out is here for area girls teams. The annual event happens at the end of the conference season for both boys and girls squads where teams are paired together based on their finish in the north and south division standings for one contest.

On the season, WMU is led by Bradie Buffington at nine points per game, Nelson’s seven boards per contest, and Kyndal Townsley’s three assists and two steals per night.
