good evening, everyone. thanks for tuning in i m alison camerota. welcome to cnn tonight. let s start with the culture wars. in the past 24 hours the battlefield has been noisy. more battles about books in the classroom, drama over drag shows, and gaslighting about gas stoves. here is florida governor ron desantis this morning surrounded by and taking urgent action to protect gas stoves. they are trying to take away your gas stove. they are coming for any little thing in your life that they can do, and i think what they want to be able to do is they ultimately want to control the amount of energy you consume. well, it turns 92% of floridians use electric stoves, but let s not let that get in the way. what is this really about? well, governor sarah huckabee sanders spelled it out. we are under attack in a left wing culture war we didn t start and never wanted to fight. sure seems like some people do want this fight. but what s the truth about culture war rhetoric? we
attorney for palm 3w5beach coun. where is this investigation potentially headed? good morning, erica. i think this provides further evidence that the department of justice is investigating donald trump. the doj clearly wants to learn what trump said and did on and about january 6. remember, they already interviewed marc short and greg jacob and now they want the two pats. last week we had reports that do skrchlt was trying to block the claims of executive privilege the reason why is to get at trump s communications. why do you want to get to trump s communications? not so you can indict rudy giuliani, although that may happen, but to investigate the former president. also to put water on this, it means that an indictment of donald trump is not imminent. because when you litigate issues of executive privilege, that normally comes at the beginning of an investigation rather than the end. how do you see that playing out in terms of executive privilege here? i think that do

praised him and endorsed his bid for a fourth term of hungary s prime minister. and just recently trump hosted orban at his bedminster new jersey golf club. and orban has become popular manage a lot of conservatives for that hard line immigration policy that he has pushed forward and some of the culture war rhetoric. but if you can believe it, orban might be even more controversial speaking here than donald trump. in fact just late last month, orban gave a speech in romania in which he engaged in what a lot of people considered racist and anti-immigrant rhetoric. he even seemed to make a joke about the holocaust. that caused one of his top aides to resign and she said that she was reading from the nazi playbook. so we will be watching here in dallas to see if orban continues to court controversy when he speaks later today. michael, thank you.
