This hot weather is our top story in firefighters rushed to the fire in benicia and a large pile of wood went up in flames off of 680 and about five miles northeast of the valero refinery. The power pole came down early this morning and here are live pictures and we are right there. The big concern is that the fire mace red. It is possible due to the strong wind but not threatening any homes right now and no homes or businesses have been evacuated. The fire is still burning and we are not sure how the fire started. If you are me, midnight the rain came down and it was a lovely sound as some parts of the bay area got rain, thunder and lightning. Near the coast we cannot get out of it and in the 60s. Santa cruz checking in at 70 and they are generally warmer but there are too many low clouds going on. Open starting off with low clouds and 57 degrees with mostly sunny today. Berkeley, oakland and alameda anywhere from dixie 8 to 74 which is what we will have 68 to 74 which is what we have today. At least its not that you made. 60s and 50s on the temperatures, and the thunderstorm activity is to the east and south so not impacting us. We had this one system drifting across on saturday giving us a nice sunset. Patchy fog and 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s and 100 if you are far enough inland. It is 4 01 am. We already start the morning with serious issues. A freeway closure in southbound 101 and a fatal accident reported after the grand avenue exit in south city. Traffic will be affected on southbound 101. The freeway is being shut off and people are being asked to exit the freeway at grand avenue. I would advise you, if youre trying to get to the airport or peninsula not to use 101, but use 280 instead. Use 380 to get back on 101. I would not use 101 if you are heading south, and there was an alert issued meaning they think this will be there for a wh
