SHAH ALAM: Celebrities Norman Hakim and his wife Memey Suhaiza along with Abby Abadi and her husband Muhammad Faizal Zakari have been issued with RM2,000 compounds each for breaching Covid-19 standard operating procedure (SOP) during the recent Hari Raya celebrations.
SHAH ALAM: Bukit Aman has crippled a ketamine processing laboratory and an international drug distribution syndicate with the seizure of drugs worth RM17.55mil.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said a total of seven operations were carried out on April 20 and 21, targeting the drug distribution syndicate which was active in the Klang Valley.
“The syndicate is believed to have procured the drugs through an illegal jetty in Kelantan and used containers and parcels to smuggle the drugs out by air and sea.
“During the raids, nine suspects, aged between 24 and 46, were arrested while 134kg of heroin base and 104kg of syabu worth RM15.2mil were seized.
SHAH ALAM: Drugs worth over RM17.55mil were seized after police raided a ketamine processing laboratory and crippled an international drug distribution syndicate in two operations last week.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said the operations on April 20 and 21 in the Klang Valley targeted a syndicate that was believed to have obtained its product from an illegal jetty in Kelantan.

SHAH ALAM: The main suspect involved in assaulting two bodyguards for fasting has been remanded for a further five days, says Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed.
He said Bukit Aman was also investigating the suspect under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act.
“I was told that they (Bukit Aman) are in the midst of seizing his property, ” he said at the Selangor police headquarters yesterday.
Comm Arjunaidi said they have yet to find evidence linking the suspects to any secret society activity.
It was reported that five men, including the man who assaulted his two bodyguards for fasting, had been arrested as they are believed to be involved in illegal gambling and loan shark activities.

SHAH ALAM: “Gang 24 Bukit Raja” has been recruiting school students through blood initiation rituals, says Comm Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed.
The Selangor police chief said the gang has about 100 members, and about 10 of them are schoolchildren.
“The majority or about 60 of its members are in their 20s, while around 20 are between 30 and 40, and 10 are aged between 40 and 50 years old.
“We believe they are enticing students with promises of wealth and power. These students have to take a blood oath initiation before they are accepted as members.
