SHAH ALAM: The main suspect involved in assaulting two bodyguards for fasting has been remanded for a further five days, says Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed.
He said Bukit Aman was also investigating the suspect under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act.
“I was told that they (Bukit Aman) are in the midst of seizing his property, ” he said at the Selangor police headquarters yesterday.
Comm Arjunaidi said they have yet to find evidence linking the suspects to any secret society activity.
It was reported that five men, including the man who assaulted his two bodyguards for fasting, had been arrested as they are believed to be involved in illegal gambling and loan shark activities.
