K S Care hospital, Kurnool Deaths of 4 Covid patients at private hospital in Kurnool not due to oxygen shortage: District collector, SP ANI | Updated: May 02, 2021 15:44 IST Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh) [India], May 2 (ANI): Authorities in Andhra Pradesh have refuted allegations that four Covid patients died due to oxygen shortage at a private hospital in Kurnool district. District Collector G Veerapandian on Saturday visited the hospital with other officials and denied reports that the lack of the life-saving gas caused the fatalities. It is not true that some Covid patients died due to lack of oxygen at KS Care Hospital. The enquiry team investigated the matter and submitted a report. Even then, the patients at that hospital have been shifted to Kurnool GGH as a precautionary measure, read an official statement issued by the district collector and SP Dr K Fakirappa.

However, medical and health officials maintained that the deaths were not due to consumption of contaminated drinking water.

14 AP pilgrims on way to Ajmer Dargah killed, 4 injured in Kurnool By SM Bilal|   Updated: 14th February 2021 11:05 pm IST Hyderabad: Tragedy struck a group of pilgrims on their way to Ajmer Dargah as 14 of them, including eight women and a child, were killed and four injured in a road mishap in Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh early on Sunday, police said. The accident occurred when a mini-bus in which the victims, all relatives and hailing from Madanapalle in Chittoor district of the state, were travelling collided with a lorry at Madapuram around 4 AM, Kurnool District Superintendent of Police K.Fakirappa said. The passengers were on their way to the Ajmer Sharif Dargah in Rajasthan, he said.
