It was only actually a matter of seconds before officers decided that they were not going to initiate a chase. Our officers say five minutes later, two miles away, the suspect ran a red lights slamming into a lyft car. I heard a big crash. Reporter this neighbor ran out and discovered the lyft car with two people in the back. It was just late. 1 am in the morning. From what we saw, it looked pretty bad. Reporter the santa clara woman was in the back of the rideshare car. Police say that she died later sunday morning just a few days after her 28th birthday. What a horrible shock to her family and her friends and her loved ones. When they are trying to catch a ride, doing things the right way. To have this type of ansi incident happened.
