Of san jose. A lot of you felt this apparently. Twitter shows a lot of people were jolted out of bed this morning. Well go to mike nicco with this red flag warning that just went into effect seconds ago. 5 00, that was the time we were looking towards. Now were 5 01. Were a minute into this high fire danger for everywhere but the Santa Cruz Mountains. Yours starts at 5 00 this evening. Expect an increase in the winds, humidity to drop and fire conditions to deteriorate as we head throughout the day. We have the winds that will also be an issue, especially in the north bay and east bay hills. Thats what is precipitating this high fire danger. Theyre going to gust up around 45 to 55 Miles Per Hour that will down some trees which could also down power lines. When that happens on this dry vegetation we could have wildfires start easily and spread rapidly. Lets look at the current conditions. Right now we have 30 at spring valley. Thats as fast as it gets in the Higher Elevations above 1,000 feet. Humidity levels are tamilpai is in single digits. San rafael, still has power. Looking south on 101. Pg e could have done a better job. I share governor newsoms frustration. Im personally outraged as a representative of my community that we have go through this. Spend the costs go through this and put our public at risk because of whats happening.
