This started monday night on bear canyon road. So far the bear fire has destroyed four structures, 150 more still threatened. That fire is only 5 contained. The nuns fire and napa and sonoma counties burned nearly 53,000 acres, 73 contained. Over to the tubbs fire, 432 acres burned, 87 contained for that one. Finally, the atlas fire in napa and solano counties, its burned just over 51,000 acres and, as you can see, at 80 containment. We are expecting cal fire to hit this fire again aggressively this morning using a combination of hand crews, heavy equipment and air support as the sun comes up. Keep in mind this could be a relatively stubborn fire because of the steep terrain out here. Already five firefighters have injured themselves battling the bear fire. No word about overnight injuries and about those conditions. But thats one of the reasons why these firefighters may have injured themselves. They were telling me the conditionings are so steep they could have misstepped and start tumbling down an hour. Were going to have an update at 7 00 on the progress we are expecting that as the sun comes up. Theyre going to do that aerial survey. That will give them a sense of how the fire has developed overnight, where they need to con straight their resources and how to focus on getting the bear fire under control. Back to you guys. We can tell you from our experience here right now it is certainly much cooler this morning, with a little more relative humidity, more humidity in the air. Both of these very good signs for cal firefighters as they try to get control of the bear fire. The fire did settle down overnight. One of the things they wanted me to get across to folks, they received calls into the night up until midnight last night about people concerned that the fire was making a run. They say that does not appear to be the case. The fire has not made a run into surrounding areas. Firefighters telling me that they got calls as far away as saratoga and the fire is certainly not in that area. It seems that the fire has been largely contained or self contained, not that they have increased con tapement, but largely self contained in the area where it did burn yesterday. Maryland. The police came and didnt know what to do. Friends and family of the victim want to know why prince targeted him. He doesnt have any enemies at all. A career criminal, he was charged with more than 60 felonies and misdemeanors. But he was only convicted 18 times total. Last night Wilmington Police chief said behavior like that cant go under the radar. We have to find a way to keep them behind bars. So they cant go out and reompbd. Delawares office has yet to address why prince wasnt locked up. The attorney believes its because his previouses werent as serious. After yesterdays shooting, prince wont remain illusive in the legal system. As soon as you hit the hrnc with murder, it dont matter whats in the background. This caps it all. Prince does not have an active word against him. He was last charged in a robbery in january 2016 involving the man police say he shot in wilmington.
