A man successfully applied for a work licence in court after being convicted of drug-driving on a major highway.
Shawn Albert Johnson, 27, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday to drug-driving.

On January 4, about 9.33am, Calliope police intercepted a silver Hyundai Getz on the Dawson Hwy, Calliope.
Johnson was identified as the driver and subsequently returned a positive test result to cannabis.
Police attended the scene and Hampton was identified by security. She was located 50 metres up the hill, however, due to her intoxication level she was not formally questioned in relation to the matter. Hampton was diverted into the care of her mother after she was involved in a subsequent incident. Police attended the club and obtained CCTV footage of the incident. On March 8, police attended Hampton s address and served her with a notice to appear in court in relation to the incident. Hampton s duty lawyer Jun Pepito said his client had been trying to avoid the man she chased around the car because he had been trying to kiss her all night.

A drug-driver told a court she had learnt her lesson and would not do drugs and drive again.
Erin Jean Carter, 38, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday to drug-driving.

On March 14, about 3.52pm, Calliope police intercepted Carter driving a silver Holden sedan on Raglan Station Rd, Raglan.
Carter submitted to a roadside drug test and subsequently returned a positive to methamphetamine.

A Gladstone woman made admissions to police of smoking cannabis before getting behind the wheel, a court heard.
Angela Ellen Ferry, 38, pleaded guilty in the Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday to drug driving.

Calliope police intercepted Ferry on March 26, around 10.45am, driving on Philip Street, Kin Kora in a silver Ford ute.
Ferry submitted to a roadside drug test, which returned a positive result for a relevant drug.

A south-east Queensland man intercepted by police at Calliope consumed beer and whiskey before driving, a court heard.
David Graham Stedman, 25, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday to drink-driving.

On April 28, about 7.22pm, Calliope police were conducting roadside breath tests on the Dawson Hwy at the Calliope Crossroads.
Police intercepted a white Isuzu ute and Stedman identified himself as the driver, travelling with one male passenger.
Stedman said he had a few drinks before driving that evening and while speaking to him police could smell liquor on his breath.
