The man, 40, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to contravening a domestic violence order (aggravated offence). On March 18, police were called to a unit on Ballantine St, Clinton, in relation to a loud domestic argument between a man and a woman. On arrival, police located and identified the man as the respondent and woman as the aggrieved.

Nickola May McGregor, 22, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday to driving without a licence. Police prosecutor Carl Spargo read the facts of McGregor’s case to the court and Magistrate Bevan Manthey. On March 19, about 9.40pm, McGregor was intercepted driving a Kia Rio hatchback on William St, Gladstone, and submitted to a licence check. The check revealed the defendant had never held a licence in Queensland.

Gladstone mother had no reason for drug-driving

Jasmine Muri-Aroha Tupea, 20, pleaded guilty in Gladstone Magistrates Court on Tuesday to drug-driving. On February 10, police were conducting patrols of Mount Alma in the Gladstone region when they intercepted a blue Hyundai sedan about 5pm. Tupea submitted to a roadside drug test which returned a positive result.

Gladstone drink-driver and court avoider finally punished

Billy Danielle McIvor, 34, pleaded guilty to driving over the general alcohol limit and failing to appear in accordance with an undertaking. Police prosecutor Carl Spargo read the facts of McIvor’s case to the court and Magistrate Bevan Manthey. On December 8, 2020, about 11.09am, McIvor was intercepted driving a gold Holden sedan by police from the Calliope Road Policing Unit who were conducting patrols on Kirkwood Rd, Gladstone. When questioned McIvor stated she had consumed six vodka and mixer drinks the previous evening.

Unsupervised learner driver caught out

Ricck Walu Willis, 18, pleaded guilty to charges including being the holder of a learner’s licence and failing to comply with requirements. Police prosecutor Carl Spargo read the facts of Willis’s case to the court and Magistrate Bevan Manthey. On March 28, about 12.30am, police observed a blue Toyota Camry parked at the Gladstone train station on Herbert St. Willis was seated in the front seat of the vehicle with keys in the ignition and the car turned on in accessory mode.
