It is my pleasure to introduce time. By the time of lees surrender at appomattox, the land and people of western missouri had suffered as much as any during the civil war. The 1865 edict known as order number 11 in the federal army had depopulated several counties, devastated homes and farms come and left deep physical and mental scars that took decades to heal. Tom has authored two books on this subject. The first, caught between three fires, and the second, cinders and silence. Both will be available after his talk. He discusses the land, its resilient people, the metamorphosis that occurred with both, and what one came back to after the civil war on the western border. Pashilk serve add fiveyear sentence served a fiveyear drug sentence. He was released in 2007.

What we do know is that Severe Weather caused whatanu are saying is the worst damage heres a look at the destruction after a likely tornado ripped through appomattox. The central baptist church, once a Community Gathering place, is now destroyed. Its signature steeple blown nearly 200 feet away. Of ferguson, missouri two Police Officers shot overnight outside police headquarters. It happened at a demonstration with dozens of protesters celebrating the Police Chiefs resignation and calling for more dismissals. Those two officers both wounded seriously were not from ferguson. Abcs bazi kanani has the latest. Reporter protesters and journalists in ferguson say they were packing up and clearing out when suddenly at midnight gunfire.
