That means Public Safety agencies such as the Virginia National guard, Virginia State police, the Virginia Department of Emergency Management and the Virginia Department of transportation can devote every available resource to storm response and recovery. About an hour ago we found out the Virginia National guard have sent more than 50 soldiers to help with debris clean up. Theyre being sent to essex, richmond, westmoreland, sussex and patrick counties but more counties will be added if need be.
